Last chance this year to make your views on the replacement local development plan (RDLP)
You’ve got just days to write to Cardiff council on what you believe should be included in the all important replacement local development plan (RDLP). This is the plan that decides what gets built where for next decade and more.
Write NOW. Send your views to ldp@cardiff.gov.uk Every contribution, no matter how short or how long is equally important. Remember to include your name and address so that your response is accepted.
Here are some questions you may wish to answer in your response:
How should the new plan protect and enhance the environment and bidiversity?
How should the new plan protect and enhance heritage buildings?
How should the new plan tackle the lack of affordable housing in Cardiff?

Nominate a green space for protection
Is there a lovely bit of a green space near you that you’d like protected? It is doesn’t have to be a grand ornamental park. It could just be a small group of trees or a field that only you and your friends and neighbours know about. The RDLP offers the chance for you to request that the council preserve the land from development. It’s only a request at this stage, but who knows, it could see your favourite patch of land secured for nature and wellbeing. Write to ldp@cardiff.gov.uk with your ideas!
You can view the current bids on the candidate sites register. You will note that many of these are bids from developers to pave over green spaces!
