‘Beauty’ as a term and concept is being deleted from planning policies in England under the new Labour Government and rarely features in Welsh planning policies.
Cardiff’s replacement local development plan (RDLP) specifically does not mention beauty at all in its plans for the future of Cardiff
Speaking at a recent Cardiff Civic Society event, Daisy Dixon and Panos Paris from Cardiff University’s Philosophy Department said that “this is in part due to an ill-informed judgment about what beauty is and its value for living a good life.”
