CCS responds as Street where park trees cut for views now amongst most pricey in Wales
Cardiff Civic Society in the news
Quoted in response to news that a controversial row of houses in Llandaff, whose construction saw trees in Llandaff Fields chopped down to improve residents’ views, is now one of the most expensive streets in Wales, Nerys Lloyd Pierce, chair of Cardiff Civic Society, said:
“These trees were on public land. They were part of Llandaff Fields.
“Cardiff’s planning committee gave permission to the developer to create a better view for the future residents of the townhouses planned for the site.
“Cardiff’s planning officers were wrong to recommend this, and the planning committee was wrong to accept it.”
